Wizkid’s disc jockey, DJ Tunez, has broken his silence following the physical altercation that ensued between him and Grammy Award winner, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy.
In the Nigerian media space, DJ Tunez and Burna Boy have been trending online following a video of them engaging in a clash at a high-energy nightlife spot known as Obi’s house on April 6th, 2026.
A viral clip circulating online captures the moment Burna Boy and members of his crew assaulted DJ Tunez, who was seen on the ground during the incident. In the footage, DJ Tunez is spotted lying on the floor, dressed in his custom ‘Number 1’ shirt as the altercation unfolds.
Another clip also shows video of DJ Tunez getting slapped and falling down as he was beaten by the Grammy Award winner.People could be seen pushing Burna Boy backward while DJ Tunez was on the floor in what seems like he was in pain.

As expected, the above clips of Burna Boy and his crew assaulting DJ Tunez sparked widespread reactions, and by extension, those who were present at Obi’s house last night narrated how it happened.
Reacting to one @Funkhy_Dc wrote, “Okay, guys, let me drop this here, I was at Obi’s house yesterday, DJ Tunez was already there chilling when Burna Boy walked in. After about 10 minutes, a heated argument started Burna was acting arrogant, pushed Tunez, and Tunez punched him in the mouth.
Manny rushed Burna into his car, but unfortunately, Burna came with like 10 bouncers. They all turned back and ganged up on Tunez prayers up for Burna and Ogbafia. This is not good for Afrobeats.”

Amid the report that Burna Boy and his crew beat the living daylight out of DJ Tunez, a new clip making the rounds online showcased the moment DJ Tunez landed a punch on Burna Boy before the situation escalated further, as the singer was reportedly assisted away by his 10 bouncers and later levelled at DJ Tunez.

As of 1:06PM on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, DJ Tunez raises eyebrows online as he took to his X page (formerly called Twitter) to break his silence. While some expected him to be at the hospital it was contrary.
He tweeted, “OGBAFIA NUMBER 1 DON WAKE OOO!.”

DJ Tunez further went on to call out Burna Boy, referring to him as “All Sign of Weakness,” stressing that he started the fight by slapping him On the head in an unaware manner.
