Seplat Energy completed its landmark acquisition of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU) from ExxonMobil on December 12, 2024, for an initial $1.3 billion, significantly boosting its production and, as of April 2025, lifting quarterly revenue to ₦1.3 trillion. This deal grants Seplat a 40% operating interest in four major shallow-water OMLs, including the Qua Iboe Terminal, and boosts total production to over 135,000 boepd as of late 2025.
As part of its continued investment in building a strong technical talent pipeline, Seplat Energy is seeking high-calibre engineering and technical graduates to join its 2026 Technical Graduate Trainee Programme.

The Technical Graduate Trainee Programme is a high impact, structured development programme designed specifically to attract, develop, and retain early-career professionals with strong technical aptitude and growth potential.
The programme combines:
- Hands-on, on-the-job technical experience.

Eligibility criteria for the Seplat Energy 2026 graduate trainee programme:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Second Class Upper, 2:1 Division) from a recognized university in a relevant pure science or engineering discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, obtained in one sitting.
- Completion of NYSC with a valid discharge certificate or an exemption letter.
