Recall that on November 18th, 2025, bandits attacked a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) at Eruku town in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
According to reports citing sources including Channels Television, the recent attack on the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke Isegun, in Eruku, Kwara State, occurred during a thanksgiving service for the safe return of 18 members who had been previously kidnapped about three weeks earlier.
It was during Thanksgiving that the terrorist invaded the church, abducted 38 people, including the pastor, and killed three worshipers.
Within the same week, specifically on Friday, November 21, 2025, gunmen stormed St. Mary’s Catholic School in the town of Agwara, in the Papiri community of Niger State, abducted 303 children and 12 teachers.
Part of the statement released today by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his social media pages confirmed that 51 out of the missing students of the Catholic School in Niger State have been recovered.

The release of the 38 Kwara church victims has brought relief to families and the Eruku community, but it has also raised tough questions nationwide.
While many Nigerians, including public figures like Falz, have praised the rescue efforts, they continue to demand transparency and accountability from the government. With no arrests made and security agencies admitting that the bandits “came out voluntarily for a peace talk,” citizens fear that the perpetrators remain free to strike again.
As celebrations continue, the lingering question on the lips of many is simple yet pressing: How can true security be guaranteed when the criminals behind these attacks are still roaming free?
