Popular Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has welcomed a baby boy with his wife.
Baba Ijesha confirmed the latest development with all and sundry today, June 15th, 2026, via his official page on the photo and video sharing platform, Instagram.
The thespian welcomes his newborn baby with fashion designer, CEO Luminee. He went on to name the child King Kagar Omiyinka.
Recall that Baba Ijesha was released in November 2025 after serving more than three years in prison over the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old minor, who was said to be a foster child of Princess.
On July 14, 2022, a Lagos High Court found him guilty of sexual assault and indecent treatment of a child, and sentenced him to a mix of 5-year and 3-year jail terms, ordered to run concurrently.
On June 28, 2024, the Court of Appeal acquitted him of earlier, older offences but upheld his conviction and sentence for the 2021 offences.
Contrary to claims by some supporters that he was exonerated and acquitted, the Lagos State Attorney General clarified that he was released strictly because he had fully served the affirmed prison term.
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) confirmed that his name has been permanently added to the state’s Sex Offenders Register.
Announcing the arrival of a baby boy after being released from prison, Baba Ijesha wrote, “In quiet ways, in Unseen ways, God has been writing a story only He could tell… We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby BOY. God gave me more than l prayed for my ever Beautiful wife ,Strong JAGABAN, Abikesde mi owoh @ceolumineeofficial who became a mother of my Son KING KAGAR OMIYINKA @king_kagar_omiyinka.”
