Popular Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has surprised fans and followers after revealing that she secretly welcomed a baby girl more than two years ago.
The actress, who has long been known publicly as the mother of two sons, D’marion Young and Ayden Young, made the disclosure in an emotional social media post shared on her birthday, June 7, 2026.
Adunni introduced her daughter, BabySal, to the public for the first time, describing the child as an answered prayer and a blessing she and her partner chose to protect from public attention.
The revelation immediately sparked reactions online, with many expressing shock that the actress had managed to keep the news private for over two years.
Addressing possible speculation surrounding the birth of her daughter, Adunni firmly stated that no relationship or family was destroyed in the process of welcoming the child.
According to the actress, she and her partner deliberately chose privacy to enjoy their blessing away from public scrutiny, stressing that not every story involving a single mother is linked to controversy or scandal.
Reflecting on her journey, Adunni said the experience came with personal challenges and moments that tested her strength, but ultimately ended in joy.
She wrote in part:
“Today, on my birthday, I’m finally sharing what we’ve protected for over two years.
“This wasn’t an easy journey. It came with silent battles, moments that tested me, and a strength I had to grow into.
“We chose privacy. Not because we owed anyone secrecy but because peace is priceless, and not everything good needs an audience.
“Not every single mother fits your assumptions. Not every story is scandal. Not every blessing comes with drama attached.
“God gave me mine. Fully. Peacefully. Intentionally.
“A journey of almost a decade! Almighty blessed us with our first child together. Our baby girl, our answered prayer, my evidence that God still writes beautiful stories in His own time.”
The actress also used the opportunity to thank fans and supporters for their prayers and goodwill over the years.
In a postscript that quickly caught the attention of many social media users, she added: “No single home is or was broken in the making of our Baby Sal.”
The announcement comes as Adunni celebrates another year of life, making it a double celebration for the actress and her family.
