Nigerian billionaire businessman and real estate mogul, Keji Giwa, has stirred intense debate on social media after making a series of controversial remarks about politics, business, religion, and governance in Nigeria.
Speaking in a viral video, Giwa defended his support for Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, maintaining that politics is closely tied to business success in the country.
According to the businessman, anyone operating a business in Nigeria without understanding the influence of politics on commercial success is likely to struggle.
Addressing critics who have accused him of being a traitor for supporting Tinubu, Giwa argued that publicly opposing powerful political figures could have severe consequences for his businesses and livelihood.
“A lot of people are angry that I support Tinubu and call me a traitor. What exactly do you want me to do? Do you want me to join you and point fingers at the very person who can snap a finger and everything I have worked hard for is gone?” he said.
The billionaire further stated that his priority is safeguarding his business empire and ensuring the welfare of his family. He added that he is not particularly concerned about whether the country improves, claiming that he is personally doing well regardless of Nigeria’s economic situation.
In one of the most controversial parts of the interview, Giwa declared that he was “banking on” Nigeria not getting better, saying his interests and aspirations differ from those of many Nigerians praying for national progress.
He also made comments about religion, stating that he has accepted the possibility of going to hell if it exists, claiming that some of his actions could warrant such a fate.
“I have come to the acceptance that I am going to hell if it exists. I have no doubt about that because there are things that I do that warrant hellfire,” he said.
The businessman also disclosed a strict policy within his company, revealing that any employee who responds to a mistake by saying “God will provide” would be dismissed immediately.
In his words; “Anybody doing business in Nigeria, that does not think that politics is part and parcel of their success in doing business in Nigeria, have no business doing business in Nigeria, A lot of people are angry that oh, he is supporting Tinubu, he is a traitor, what do you want me to do?
What exactly do you want me to do? you want me to join you and point the finger at the very person that can snap a finger and everything I have worked hard for is gone?
Are you gonna feed me after that? are you going to take care of my children? are you going to send my children to private school? whether Nigeria gets better or does not get better I am perfectly okay in fact I am banking on it not getting better.
Your prayer is different from my prayer, I have come to the acceptance that I am going to hell if it exists, I have no doubt about that because there are things that I do that warrant hellfire.
One thing I have as a general rule in my company if you make mistake of saying God will provide, I will sack you, instantly.”

kefchild remarked, “And i kid you not, ….99.9% of apc loyalists have this mindset. hope you can hear how brutal he sounds?? He doesn’t give a sh!t if the country burns so far he gets his share of the corrupt loots. Very good! ….. now you see why they are scared of an equally brutal personality like VDM??? ….. VDM is everything they are but in the good way so they fear him! This is why we all need to be our own VDM and vote this animals out of office!”
In similar news, billionaire Keji Giwa speaks about one of the most painful experiences of his life, recounting the circumstances surrounding his father’s death.
Speaking during a recent interview on the “Outside the Box” platform, Giwa said his father was on his way to the UK as part of a yearly tradition he shared with his family when tragedy struck unexpectedly.
According to Giwa, everything seemed normal before the incident, as he had spoken with his father shortly before his trip.
“My dad was on his way to the UK, as a yearly thing he celebrates with us. We’ve spoken, he’s on his way. Next thing I know, he’s not at the airport. It took a while to call me, and when they finally called me, my dad was dead,” he said.
Giwa said he was later informed that his father died from food poisoning, a condition he believes should not have led to death if proper medical attention had been available.
He alleged that when his father was taken to the hospital on a Sunday, there were no qualified doctors available to attend to him at the time of emergency.
“What happened? Food poisoning. On that day he was taken to the hospital, it was a Sunday. He shouldn’t be dead. It’s ordinary food poisoning, but he died. He died because all the qualified doctors were in church on a Sunday,” he added.
The businessman said the incident deeply affected him and shaped his views on religion, especially because it happened during a period when he and his father were beginning to build a stronger relationship.

My father d!ed on a Sunday waiting for a qualified doctor. You know why? All the qualified doctors went to church. This is why you can’t find me in a church.
