Scholarship Coverage:
There are two main Scholarships open by the University of Tasmania:
- Scholarships from the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) and the Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship (TGRS).
- RTP Stipend Rate: Full-time candidates will receive a stipend of AUD$ 31,500 per year, which is non-taxable (2026 rate, subject to annual indexation). The stipend rate for subsequent years remains the same as the preceding year, adjusted by the method outlined in Part 5-6 of the Higher Education Support Act 2003.
